Galvanizing lines run on NH4Cl flux: it scours steel surfaces at the zinc bath’s edge so coating bonds flawlessly — the invisible step behind every rust-proofed sheet and pipe. Soldering fluxes use the same oxide-stripping chemistry, and dry-cell batteries have run ammonium chloride electrolyte since the technology’s birth.
