The oil solidifies into something remarkable: Castor Wax (Hydrogenated Castor Oil), a hard, cream-white wax melting near 86°C, insoluble in water and most solvents, stable where ordinary vegetable waxes soften and fail. Chemists nicknamed it Opal Wax; industry simply calls it indispensable.
